These programs are intended for 10 - 15 years olds. They cover

  • Game planning. What will you make?
  • What goes into making a game? Items and instructions.
  • Making a game in the classroom. Using real props and people to make a game.
  • Talking to a computer. What can you tell a computer do?
  • Game making. Putting it all together. Turning the classroom game into a computer game.

These game making programs assume some basic prior computer knowledge, like being able to scan images and use a simple paint program.

The aim of each game making program is for students to come away with a real game they are proud to have made themselves. Along the way, they will have also learnt a lot about planning, problem solving, logic and creative expression.
